This is the last work that takes fiction as its subject matter. During the creation of Body as a container of faith, I developed a great interest in the concept of body. This interest had driven me to draw a comparison between God, online friends, and Jia Siwen, and discover their commonality of all being a form of existence of "Logos," that is, they all existed prior to having a body. Hence I tried to use the pair of "God" / "online friend" as material for my work.
By having Mary conceive Jesus, God therefore possessed flesh. He is "Logos." An online friend shares the same trait as God: Before an online friend is met, he or she exists in a state of "Logos." It is not until such a coming-together occasion that he or she acquires flesh. Such is the sacred moment when Logos becomes Flesh. I sifted through the Internet to find users with a God-related handle, then chatted with them to persuade them to come to the exhibition, in order to complete an act of "Logos becoms Flesh" in reality. I will prepare a banner printed with "Logos becomes Flesh and dwelt among us." (John 1:14), as well as a "Wel-become!" met, to greet this online friend.
